Happy First of October everyone! It’s not socially acceptable to begin putting up all of your Halloween decorations. You KNOW I’ve already had them up for a couple weeks, but who’s counting.
I recently posted a picture of Kennedy on Instagram wearing my new FAVORITE Halloween shirt. It’s giving me all the fall vibes. Oh, and I have one to match! You can find the shirt on Etsy here!
There’s something about fall that just starts giving me all of the holiday vibes. I think it’s because I have such fond memories of the holidays from my childhood. It didn’t matter financially how my family was doing from year to year, we always seemed to have the BEST HOLIDAY season from October to January, despite the number of presents under the Christmas tree, or the the amount of pumpkins on our front porch.
This year I was lucky enough to be able to afford to throw Kennedy the first birthday party of her (who are we kidding MY) dreams, and we are lucky to have this plethora of pumpkins left over to create this really cute pumpkin display on my moms front entryway.
Chase and I are both big on the Holiday season. Though I prefer to start decorating of Hallowen halfway through September and listening to Christmas music in the start of November, and he does NOT, I think we are both in agreement that we want Kennedy and the rest of our future family to have to best memories of their holidays with us. We hope to always be able to provide them with a Holiday season they will remember when they are older. This includes traditions like visiting the pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins, building gingerbread houses, going to see the Christmas lights, ice skating, and so many other yearly activities Chase and I love during the Fall and Winter Holidays!
Kennedy is growing up so much every day. I am trying to soak up what little days I still have left with my “baby” as she becomes more and more of a toddler.
All for now! I’m off to watch Hocus Pocus.
