We’re Moving to Sacramento!

Hey Everyone!

If you don’t know, now you do!  Our little family is hitting the road and moving from San Diego to Sacramento.  Chase has accepted a new position in Medical Sales, so we are packing up, and taking the party North.

I have a lot of mixed emotions about this move from SoCal to NorCal.  (number one being that I will NEVER adopt the saying “Hella” into my vocabulary) Of course I am so excited for this new time in our lives, and this journey we are embarking on, but our entire lives, friends and most of our family lives here in San Diego. This opportunity could be life changing for us, so we have to take the risk, but that doesn’t make it any easier to say goodbye to everyone we love and our lives here in San Diego.

WHAT I WILL BE DOING FOR WORK?

NOTHING.  You read that correctly.  I will be staying home with Kennedy to start and this is actually one of the scariest parts for me.  I have always wanted to stay at home with her, and raise her myself, but to actually be unemployed is very scary. The last time I didn’t have a job was probably high school, so this is truly a step into the unknown for me.

As an enneagram 8, I consider myself a bit of a control freak, and to have to relinquish that control to a completely new city, and new way of life is the biggest stressor I’ve ever had to face.  I am not very fond of uncertainty in life, and this is the biggest uncertainty I have had to face, yet.  It’s going to be difficult and trying but this move has the potential to be the best chance we’ve taken to date!

I have a lot of questions for myself.  What will I do?  How will I pass the time as a stay at home mom? (which I am now learning has an acronym of SAHM). Will I be able to handle giving over all control of my life in aspects of career? I am the type of person that always likes to be busy (hence the reason I worked full time, got married and had a kid all while in graduate school), and I feel important when there is a task to be completed at hand.  Maybe I will be able to use this time to find out more about my inner peace and be happy with just that (haha SIKE).  Who am I kidding??? With Kennedy as my daughter, I’m sure I will be busy enough!!!

It’s very bittersweet.   We are very excited for this new journey, but I am terrified of leaving all of our friends and families

That’s all for now.  Look forward to more posts about the details of our move!  We are so excited for you to come along with us! And make sure to check out our YouTube channel for more on the move as well!
